April’s masterclass is aimed at anyone interested in putting on an event in the creative industries.

Whether it’s music, comedy, theatre, poetry or all of the above, our panel of experts will cover the basics of marketing, press and producing, giving you an all-rounded insight into the logistics of promoting an event.

The hardest thing about producing an event isn’t always finding the location or even programming artists, it can be as simple as getting people to buy tickets. Even the best events can be poorly attended if they aren’t promoted properly, regardless of who is on the bill.

The panel will include Aurora Lewis, Marketing Officer at the Lyric and Simon Thompson, Press Manager at the Lyric. Aurora and Simon are part of the busy Communications Department at the Lyric and play key roles in all elements of the Lyric’s Marketing and Press communication. Also on the panel will be Suzy McClintock, Producer for Waifs + Strays. The panel will be sharing their knowledge as well as answering any questions you may have.
