Anonymous Society - the ground-breaking company who achieved critical acclaim in 1999 with their inspirational take on the works of the singer-songwriter Jacques Brel - make their anticipated return to the Lyric.

Using twenty songs that were originally performed by The Smiths, they present an original piece of music theatre, with six performers and a live string quartet. The show draws on the mood, wit and passion of the writers’ words and music. A magnifying glass is held up to the unravelling relationships of four women and two men. A story as uplifting as it is achingly devastating.
