An epic story of divine intervention, Angels in America is one of the defining works of 20th century drama.
In a New York turned upside down by the chaotic energy of the 1980s and the destructive terror of AIDS, Tony Kushner’s Pulitzer Prize winner weaves together private and public Reagan-era lives in a vivid dissection of relationships, of survival and of faith – of all that makes us human.
Angels in America received its premiere at the National Theatre. This new production of the two-part masterpiece is directed by Daniel Kramer (Bent, West End; Woyzeck and Hair at the Gate Theatre) and features the award-winning Greg Hicks and Ann Mitchell.
