The Unholy and Illustrious History of

St George and the Dragon

Created by beggarsbelief

Do you believe in dragons?

England. The umpteenth century. A baby is born with curious birthmarks: a cross, and what appears to be a dragon. This strange boy is possessed of unusual powers and has one simple conviction: he must kill a dragon.

So begins a quest that takes him to the extremities of the known world, taking on Saracen armies and wading through blood and fire. Will he ever find the dragon he seeks?

Following its highly successful Christmas season at Warwick Arts Centre and previous hits Ben Hur and Jason and the Argonauts, beggarsbelief weave together myth and legend into an epic adventure full of sizzling theatrical invention, live music and circus artistry.

Remember -  there’s no smoke without fire… and there’s no fire without dragons!
