Mr Sole Abode

Created by Madrugada

Leo Kay’s first show for his new physical performance company, Madrugada, is directed B-boy and hip hop theatre pioneer Benji Reid, last at the Lyric with 13 Mics/The Pugilist.

Fusing text, physical performance and a striking set by surreal puppeteers/designers Faulty Optic, this magical show tells the story of selfproclaimed architect Mr Sole Abode. Unable to function under the stresses and strains of contemporary material society, he chooses to opt
out of a life valued by possessions — and to live in a fridge instead.

A Madrugada production in association with Contact Theatre, Manchester and Weekend Arts College

Part of theMIX, supported by Deutsche Bank
