Watership Down in Rehearsal
Theatre productions at the Lyric evolve from a highly collaborative process between the director, writer, actors, designers and musicians, and it all happens in the rehearsal period. The cast are often multi-talented actors with musical, acrobatic and other skills that contribute to the creative process.
This session is an opportunity to gain a behind-the-scenes insight into the making of the Lyric’s greatly anticipated Christmas show, Watership Down. Richard Adams’ classic adventure has been adapted for the stage by Rona Munro and is directed by Melly Still - one of the UK’s leading directors of this innovative style of theatre-making. Melly will guide you through a scene with the cast and musicians, and answer all your questions about the creative process.
