How to Hug Trees and Other Secrets

Costume and Prop-Making Workshop

Theatre Alibi's How to Hug Trees and Other Secrets creates a world where anything's possible and costumes and props are part of the magic - a mossy cloak becomes a bed, there's a necklace made of strawberries and a hat made of twigs where the cuckoo nests.

This hands-on workshop gives children an insight into the inventive and original process of making props and costumes. Using all sorts of wild and wacky materials, children can get involved by making their very own theatrical creations.

The workshop will be led by Suzana Tamamovic, an arts in education practitioner who works with a range of schools and communities in London and regularly conducts children’s design workshops at the Lyric.

Stay after the show, or just come along for the free workshop, and make your very own huggable tree! Come and join in this imaginative workshop, and discover what goes on behind the scenes to create the magic of theatre.

This workshop is free, to reserve a space please call the Lyric Hammersmith Ticket Office on 08700 500 511.
