Dende Collective

Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands

By Mark O'Thomas - Based the novel by Jorge Amado

Cookery teacher Dona Flor's roguish husband drops dead partying at a carnival. He may have been a womaniser, but once he’s gone, all she can remember is his lovemaking. A second marriage with a respectable pharmacist gives her stability but not the sensual love she craves. In answer to Dona Flor’s longing, her first husband mysteriously reappears, eager to reclaim his conjugal rights, creating a very unusual ménage à trois.

The inventive Dende Collective (Piranha Lounge and OneFourSeven) returns to the Lyric. Originally staged as a free ‘rough’ performance during theMIX 05, now is your chance to catch the finished work. Contains nudity, strong language and scenes of a sexual nature.

Part of theMIX, a groundbreaking season of new work in the Studio, supported by Deutsche Bank.
