Open to all schools, colleges and HE institutions across London and beyond, Lyric Interactive gives educational groups several ways to engage directly with some of the most innovative and imaginative practitioners working in theatre.
This extensive programme offers valuable insights into the Lyric’s unique brand of theatre for both students and teachers. Activities aim to ‘unpack’ the workings of a professional producing theatre, providing young people with an increased understanding of the creative industries and potential career ideas.
Activities include:
Teacher training, pre-show workshops, backstage tours, artist talks, in house residency projects and on-stage demonstrations. Comprehensive teachers’ resource packs amd details of all activities are also available to download.
We also offer a range of projects as part of the Lyric West programme, for young people aged 11-19 who live in or go to school/college in the West London boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, Ealing, Brent, Hounslow, Hillingdon, Harrow , Wandsworth and Richmond that teachers can refer students to. The largest of these projects is the Lyric Young Company, open to all 14-19 year olds in West London, which costs £5 to join. There are also targeted projects for that require teacher referrals for participation. For more information please contact us on on 020 8741 6863 or creativelearning@lyric.co.uk
