Celebrate the summer at the Lyric with a FREE day of family fun based on the humble British handkerchief!
Invent your own Hanky Haiku, play in the sandpit, lounge in a deckchair (wearing a handkerchief hat of course), and see children’s author and poet John Hegley perform with his band The Popticians. There will be FREE shows for under 7s from Lyric favourites Tall Stories and Lyngo Theatre, a special guest appearance by Andrew Bailey and his Hanky of Truce, as well as Randolph the Remarkable and his incredible feats with fire and a bowl of lukewarm water.
Then you can join in the Massive Morris Dance on the Lyric Square and enter the Great Hanky or Tissue Issue with Friends of the Earth.
We’re packing the entire building full of shows, dancing, games and activities. All we need now is you!
