  • Marketing & Press Officer

    The Marketing and Press Officer is a key member of the Communications team. The team is responsible for maintaining and communicating the Lyric’s brand and marketing all of the Lyric’s work in London and on tour, including the Lyric’s own productions, work by visiting national and international companies and our extensive programme of work with young people.

    The Marketing and Press Officer reports to the Marketing Manager and works closely with all other members of the Communications team.

  • Commercial Director

    The Lyric is at a major moment in its history. In 2015, the theatre will reopen after a multi-million pound redevelopment. The Commercial Director is a new position working alongside the Lyric’s Executive Director, Artistic Director and Director of Finance Administration and Operations to lead the organisation into a new phase of business growth. The post-holder will contribute to setting overall organisational direction as well as taking a strategic and managerial lead in all aspects of the Lyric’s commercial income generation activities including ticket sales, catering and sponsorship/promotions. He/she will also lead on ensuring the development of a strong brand, marketing and PR campaigns and the delivery of excellent customer service in order to ensure the successful execution of our commercial objectives.

    The post-holder must be able to demonstrate senior commercial experience and success ideally within the creative and cultural industry sector. As this is a new position, we envisage working with the Commercial Director to agree the appropriate staffing and resources needed for their department. We currently have an interim staffing structure in place which has seen us through the redevelopment period and towards reopening comprising a small number of permanent staff supplemented with marketing and PR agency support. However, it is envisaged this structure may need to be reviewed and augmented moving forward.

  • Development Manager

    The Development Manager is a vital new position offering the opportunity to make the role your own as the Lyric goes through an unprecedented time of growth. You will work closely with the Head of Development to further develop fundraising income from individuals, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships and events. We are looking for a flexible and energetic all rounder with wide ranging fundraising skills. You will have strong personal skills to maintain and develop relationships and excellent organisational skills to establish and maintain procedures. You will be part of the Lyric team creating a unique and dynamic arts organisation of the future.

  • Director of Young People and Emerging Artists

    The Lyric is at a major moment in its history. In 2015, the theatre will reopen after a multi-million pound redevelopment including the creation of a new extension, called The Reuben Foundation Wing, which will house a wide range of new facilities aimed at expanding our work with young people and emerging artists.

    The Director of Young People and Emerging Artists is a new position working alongside the Lyric’s Artistic Director, Executive Director and Director of Finance, Administration and Operations to lead the organisation into a new phase of business growth.

    The post-holder will contribute to setting overall organisational direction of the Lyric as well as taking a strategic and managerial lead in all aspects of the Lyric’s work with children, young people and emerging artists aged 0 to 25. In particular, he/she will be responsible for implementing the key aims set out in the Lyric’s 2015/16 – 2017/18 Business Plan for this area of the Lyric’s work. 

    The post-holder will be responsible for developing an appropriate staffing structure for the Lyric’s work with young people and emerging artists as well as playing a key role in raising funds to develop and deliver the programme. The team currently consists of two full time producers and two apprentices. However, it is envisaged that this structure may need to be augmented in the future.

    The post-holder will also take primary responsibility for managing relationships with the Lyric’s partner organisations who will become resident in the building working with us to deliver our work for young people. He/she will need to ensure that these new relationships develop into productive working partnerships for the benefit of all young West Londoners.
