Head of Stage
The Lyric Hammersmith is one of the UK’s leading producing theatres. Over its 121 year history it has been responsible for creating some of the UK’s most ground-breaking and acclaimed theatrical productions. At the same time it has gained a national reputation for its work with children and young people. The Lyric reopened in April 2015 following a £20 million capital project which has seen the addition of extensive new facilities aimed at expanding the Lyric’s work with young people, emerging and professional artists across the performing arts. The new Lyric, now home to an innovative partnership of leading arts organisations, has become the largest creative hub for West London.
The Lyric’s dual commitment to producing the highest quality contemporary theatre, alongside nurturing the creativity of young people, and the quality, range and scale of its new facilities, make it unique within the theatre ecology of the UK.
The Lyric is looking for a Head of Stage to manage Lyric stage staff, working with other technical departments and visiting directors, designers and technicians to present both Lyric and visiting companies’ work to the highest possible standard in a friendly and efficient manner, and to ensure the proper maintenance of all areas of the Lyric.
